Our founding families valued the idea of locking arms and tackling some of life’s most difficult problems in community with one another. Determined to more intentionally steward their resources over generations, the founding families created Promus and built a dedicated team to execute their unique investment strategy, support the families administratively, and consult on legacy strategies.
After nearly a decade of sharing best practices in investments, charity and life, the Musso and Code families joined together in 2008 to establish Promus as their multi-family office. The founding families believed their shared wisdom and expertise would enhance both families’ investments process. They also knew their platform could benefit other like-minded families.
The Code and Musso families had different backgrounds. After selling a family business in 2001, the Musso family established a single-family office to manage their assets and turned their attention to alternative investments, particularly hedge funds. Meanwhile Andy Code brought decades of experience in the private equity industry, having co-founded a middle-market private equity firm in Chicago.
Over time the Promus partnership has expanded greatly to include experts across asset classes. Promus now serves more than 30 families that have a passion for effective stewardship and investing in community.
